Man, the more I read about that debate, the more frustrated and angry I am. . . that I missed it!!!

Guys, seriously: Are we talking about Lincoln-Douglas, Part II? Was it that good?

Because I’m starting to feel like I missed history being made. Is this what it felt like for the people who didn’t watch the moon landing, or the fall of the Berlin Wall, or whatever
the greatest thing of all time was before this debate?

People say, “You’ve got to read David Brooks’s trenchant analysis of how important this debate was, as usual he hits the nail on the head,” but I can’t do it. . . because then I’ll be even sadder that I missed it!!!
